Thomas Greenway Burge
circa 1890
(Portraits of Thomas and Elizabeth circa
1865 here)

Believed to be Elizabeth Wheeler Burge,
but I'm not convinced!
See photos below for comparison

.
Definite Elizabeth Burge (Bessie) on left
circa 1865, family members have portrait on right also as Elizabeth circa
1890, but it seems to me that the nose is too short and ears too low on
the later photo.
I believe the portrait on the right may
be Rosetta Hipwell Senior, the mother of Rosetta seen below. The above
portraits, of her and of Thomas as an older man, came from descendants
of Rosetta and Edward Burge. They were in matching frames, but they are
very different compositions. If they were a true pair I'd expect the compositions
to be the same. What do you think?

Oldest son of Thomas and Elizabeth, Thomas
William Burge (Tommy) and his wife Mary Ward. Certainly Mary on her wedding
day, 9 January 1889, likely Thomas the same day, although the photo's arrived
to me separately so I'm not certain.

Mary Anne Horwill, nee Burge,
Thomas and Elizabeth's second daughter

Alfred Augustine Burge (Alfie), twin brother
of Albert James
portrait approx 1920's

My gorgeous grandfather, John Henry Burge
(Jack). circa 1890.
Also seen elsewhere on this site, but
here so that all my surviving
photo's of Thomas and Elizabeth's children
are on one page...

Edward (Teddy) Benjimin and Rosetta (Hipwell)
Burge
Approx 1920's, note that although Australia
brags inventing the
first 'Utility'in the 1940's, Teddy's
butcher's 'truck' is actually a ute!
